'Hotel Erika' was Inspired by a past childhood holiday destination in the heart of the Slovenian Alps, an old chalet nestled alone in a clearing, surrounded by dark pine forests and monumental glaciers - an ever-changing landscape of colours, sounds, and smells. My family used to go there almost every year until the 1990s when the hotel closed due disrepair and was eventually demolished.

A continuous listening experience of just over 45 minutes, built around vintage analog synths and my beloved Rhodes piano, I wanted to paint a vast drama that evokes majestic landscapes contrasting with more intimate ambiences. An odyssey of the mind through layers of personal memories, sunlit childhoods as well as the dark forces of Eastern European history.
